This is exactly why I hate the circus. Torture wild animals all day long so they’ll perform neato little tricks for human entertainment! No thanks.
I remember a school trip to Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus when I was kid. We watched a caravan of polar bears and grizzly bears shuttled out on the main floor in teeny-tiny cages. It was one of the bleakest things I’ve ever witnessed. The bears’ eyes were full of sadness, confusion and mostly… depression.

Must admit I was hoping the lions did a thorough job…I hope no one killed any lions in retribution. I hope for a few dead humans though. Am I bad?
If you dance around with lions and beat them your number will be up one day. And the lions will be well rid of you!
Who are the beasts?! I am always amazed to see animals referred to as beasts and humans as well, implied superior and kinder and and non-instinctual and not animal too, none of which is true.
Those lions appear to have been declawed and had their canines removed, and perhaps, I’m guessing, the carnassials, or there would have been some serious injuries to the trainers. The second cat to enter the show appears to be injured and limping. During the melee, one cat received a bloody nose.
The comments to the YouTube video follow the usual arc: “Poor animals–too bad the trainers didn’t get hurt;” “You’re a hypocrite and support abortion;” “Islamo-fascist nazi;” and on and on in a futile chain of ignorance.
I don’t have pity for the trainers
