Yep.
Of course, perhaps they should have left them in the wild in the first place instead of imprisoning them in a fucking ZOO!
Just sayin’
That would have been nice.
A few years ago, a zoo in Scotland shot their entire wolf pack to make room for some other unfortunate critter. Animals should be protected from this kind of thing. But what do you expect from an island full of mutton lovers and wolf-haters! I doubt they would have done better in the wild, except maybe someplace even sheep won’t go? I feel bad for the wolves and for Ratty and the Watchers! And all of us here, too!
That’s pretty insulting and xenophobic. I’ve known plenty of people from Britain who adore wolves, have wolf characters and would do anything to protect them.
Also, quite a few of them think mutton is gross. Not only to mention this, but if you’re American, you’re likely British yourself.
People who naively think that a “rural lifestyle is somehow romantic and “sustainable” do not face the reality of what really goes on. Britain long ago exterminated most large “predators”–and for what? The same reason this extermination goes on here in the U.S.: for livestock. The anti-wolf, and other prejudices against native animals is deeply entrenched in their mindset, and very few ever change, and certainly the industry itself never does, as we see here in The West. The official mantra of The Livestock industry is: anti wildlife protection, and opposition to all re-introduction programs pertaining to native animals–except some ungulates they like to use as “game animals.”
The punishment for returning home in the wild where they belong is the death penalty? Sounds like just a regular day in human society. Not even other humans are treated too well. For example, people are afraid of you if you run on four legs, threaten to call a doctor, think you’re sick, etc. You guys used to be feral quadrupeds yourselves during one point in evolution. Honestly.
I don’t get what makes a human’s life more important than a wolf’s when they’re both biologically animals. Not only to mention that many of the people who hate wolves have dogs as pets. Dogs are wolves. Case closed.
So they just “had to shoot them”? Bullshit.
Like they’re of no value at all.
Yep.

My Clan’s Scottish crest features 3 wolf heads.

There was no need to kill them. I fail to see how they can justify this.
They can’t
😦
