  2. I could’ve gone all day without seeing that abhorrent excuse of a human. Cannot wait for him to DIE! (And I pray it will be as violent and bloody and painful as what he inflicts on other living creatures.)

  3. This guys a nobody, trying to be a somebody. To him it’s “challenging” to hunt down a bear at a safe distance, he thinks he “got skills” – just another slack jawed dumbass with a weapon. Next.

  4. Ted. You fucking redneck. have a word with yourself. a ballpin hammer? really… I hope you get mauled by these beautiful creatures. Humans are over populated. maybe we can start by killing u redneck hunters with any tool. available. Now thats population control.!!!?

  5. This is incredibly depression. Why do you have to kill animals? Is it living in your garden terrorizing your family? Are you starving? The animal has rights and tere is no reason for this.

  6. Black bears in North America, like relatively few other species are managed for “sustainable yield” for hunters who comprise a small minority (approximately 5.5%, variable and suspect source). This is not ecosystems management, the current trend in a few cases by a few agencies. Black bears, like deer, are fish and wildlife agency “money shots” to provide revenue. One has to ask what is the fate of the relatively ignored species?

T.N. should be asking why there are so few grizzly bears in the lower 48, U.S. As for his claim there are more black bears than ever “in recorded history” has no foundation to this claim and if it were true the supposed black bear population would have come at the cost of other species’ populations. Like the fish and wildlife management agencies who too often share T.N.’s culture, he sees only numbers. Instead try other approaches, such the study that estimates a net loss of 39% of range areas where black bears were found. That and this link lists 43 ungulates and carnivores and how they are and are not faring as a functioning species in ecosystems: http://bioscience.oxfordjournals.org/content/54/2/123.full.pdf

T.N. and his attitudes ignore the ongoing loss of biodiversity that wildlife management for many reasons has no hope of stopping.

As for recorded history, little is known about the composition of wildlife and plant communities, even the presence of species before 1800 (I’m being conservative as it is more recent in many areas) and earlier depending on where in the U.S. surveys were made. As usual, T.N. is an obnoxious human being and would remain so even if he were vegan.

  7. When I see pictures like this I get mixed feelings; sorrow for an animal whose life was needlessly taken, and anger at the smug looking pussy behind it whose teeth I’d like to kick down his f*cking throat.

  8. a total moron…
what a beautiful bear he was, a heartbreaking reality for all that know how wrong headed this type of behavior is …killing for fun!
should be a law against this …
    it’s a crime against nature..
