The deadline is Aug. 15th for Okla. youth hunters to apply for the Okla.
Dept. of Wildlife
Conservation’s bonus antlerless deer gun hunts. These hunts are on
private lands in October
and November.
The Wildlife Dept. will select 53 youth hunters in a random drawing for
these bonus deer hunts.
To be eligible, the youth hunters must be between the ages 12 and 17 at
the time of the hunts
and have completed their hunter education requirements before applying.

The Okla. Quail Symposium will be held this August in Okla. City.
This event is sponsored by the Central Okla. 89er Chapter of Quail
Forever. It ends with a
fund-raising banquet.
Quail experts from the Okla. Dept. of Wildlife Conservation, the Texas
Parks and Wildlife
Dept., Okla. State University and the National Resource Conservation
Service are scheduled
to speak on various topics.

Raffle tickets to win a wild boar hunt with former Dallas Cowboys and Okla.
Sooner football
star Roy Williams are being sold by Youth for Christ of Okla. City. This
is an organization
that helps at-risk students.
The guided hog hunts will also be filmed for the Okie Wild TV show.
This package includes
four hunters and overnight lodging with No Mercy Hunting in Okla.
Tickets are $10 each.

  1. They do this stuff in Arizona and probably other states. Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are taught to shoot. I don’t know if they get special recognition for killing something.

  2. How uplifting: Youth for Christ with No Mercy Hunting. School cafeterias and classrooms everywhere in Oklahoma will be blessed with clean-kill shots! Praise Jesus that Oklahoma brings true meaning to “Suffer the little children.”
