I was just looking at the titles of the related articles – me too! A compassionate misanthropist is better than an indifferent and self-centered humanist any day of the week! I was watching 60 Minutes last night and it had a segment on the war in Syria with videos civilians were taking and sending to a film director – it was awful, not only people maimed and killed, but pet and animals that have nothing to do with our ridiculous wars, made to suffer too. We are the most awful and destructive creature on the planet.
