FRISCO β The Obama administration says its proposed new fuel efficiency standards for trucks will cut CO2 emissions by 1 billion metric tons β about equal to the greenhouse gas emissions from all domestic energy use in the U.S.
The new rules would cut fuel costs byΒ about $170 billion, and reduce oil consumption by up to 1.8 billion barrels, more than a yearβs worth of imports from OPEC.

Finally. All the improved fuel standards in the world mean nothing if we don’t address heavy equipment, buses and trucks. It’s a joke without this.
So true; and jets, and container and cruise ships, and coal trains/power plants, etc…
And I still am anti big vehicles, but this is at least a start. π
