Documents detail outcome of bear, hunter conflicts in Greater Yellowstone
The Jackson Hole News and Guide’s Freedom of Information Act requests to the agencies that deal with grizzly bears in the Greater Yellowstone Area found that hunters defending themselves from bears are the No. 1 cause of death of grizzly bears in that ecosystem, and that bear spray is mentioned in only a quarter of the 24 investigations of a hunter’s killing a grizzly in self defense.

Hunters defending themselves! And the bears can’t tell their side of the story.
Yeah, this ranks right up there with saying they thought wolves are coyotes. Convenientthink. And no bear spray either – I wish I had a dime for all the comments I read about macho men and their premeditated blustering about carrying .guns instead of bear spray. Bear spray isn’t even contemplated.
I support the right to arm bears.
I have an “I support the right to arm bears” sign in the front window.
By the way, has anyone seen Blood Lions? I thought the Internet would light up after that documentary about canned hunting. But there has been almost nothing! So disturbing.
Blood Lions is a must-see!
