We are the only species on the planet who contributes absolutely nothing to the biosphere, but actively destroys it on a daily basis. I suppose you could give us credit for contributing to the extinction of the rest of life on Earth. The only species that would not be missed, and in fact the earth would not only survive, but thrive without our presence.
I’ve read so many comments since the shooting death of Harambe, the alligators at Disney, and many others – about how human life is more ‘important’ and more ‘valuable’ than animal life. It’s a good thing the rest of life on the planet doesn’t get to vote on it, because if they did, we’d be voted off the island!
