Irma hit us hard in Florida, but we are working to get back on our feet and help as many animals as we can.

Our Animal Rescue Team is continuing to assess the needs of animals across the state and to work in communities along the western and eastern coasts. As we rescue more and more animals who have been displaced from their homes or have suffered significant injuries from Irma’s destruction, my heart is full knowing that they are in safe hands.

Meet some of the lovable rescued animal survivors:

Naples rescue dog

The HSUS assisted in the rescue of this sweet dog in Naples.

Injured owl

Found with an injured wing, this little owl is in great care with our affiliate, the South Florida Wildlife Center.

Rescued raccoon

This raccoon is one of the many orphaned animals whom our partners are working diligently to look after.
