AROOSTOOK, Maine (AP) According to the Warden Service, a woman was accidentally shot in the leg by her husband while they were out hunting for partridges in Aroostook County.

It happened Tuesday morning.

Officials say the 57 year old wife was hit in the leg by around three dozen bird shot pellets after her 72 year old husband fired into dense foliage.

The husband drove his wife to a hospital in Presque Isle, where she was treated and released.
