A team of Iditarod racing dogs tested positive for dangerous performance-enhancing drugs, leading the Iditarod officials to change the rules. Our shallow need to win contaminates just about any sport nowadays. It’s not bad enough that they have to give these poor dogs drugs too? If people decide to take these things despite health risks, that’s one thing, they do it voluntarily and with full knowledge – but we shouldn’t inflict this kind of thing on those who cannot consent.
