Thirty years after a former Nasa scientist sounded the alarm for the general public about climate change and human activity, the expert issued a fresh warning that the world is failing “miserably” to deal with the worsening dangers.

While Donald Trump and many conservatives like to argue that climate change is a hoax, James Hansen, the 77-year-old former Nasa climate scientist, said in an interview at his home in New York that the relevant hoax today is perpetrated by those leaders claiming to be addressing the problem.

  1. “All we’ve done is agree there is a problem.”
I’m always interested in hearing what Dr. Hansen has to say – he knows about it, and he tells it like it is. Like him, I fail to see the value of everyone flying to a major metropolis to continually talk about this issue, and do nothing of any substance.

      • Yes, it’s behavior like this, and bombing in a national forest and probably a wildlife refuge, that makes it only rational to become a misanthropist. 😦

I only pray that some of the last remaining Florida panthers aren’t driven out of a last refuge into oncoming mindless traffic. 😦

  2. And get this, I had no idea this was going on. The Navy has been test bombing an area in a “National Forest” in Florida by special permit of the “US Forest Service”, since 1941 (WWII era) for 70 years! Is it really still necessary? Look at the warnings, explosions may push wildlife onto nearby roads (to be hit by cars, but who cares? the US is saving us from the phantom menace) and windows rattling for those living nearby. Good God, people are such fools. Can’t people step up and stop it instead of living hypnotized?:
