Dr. Alan Peterson will talk about how climate will affect future generations

In an LNP op-ed in 2016, Dr. Alan S. Peterson posed this challenge:
“Try growing crops in a flood, because there will be more floods as CO2 levels rise and climate continues to change.”
Peterson, 71, is a family physician who has been involved in environmental medicine in Lancaster County for 42 years.
On Sunday, he will lead a discussion titled “How does climate affect our health and vitality?” The talk is part of The Church of the Apostles UCC Creation Care Retreat that will be held from noon to 6 p.m. at Rader Park, 1899 Apostle Way. The Penn Central Conference Creation Justice team and the Rev. Heather Giffen, associate pastor at the church, also will address the gathering.
