GORHAM, Maine (AP) — Maine game wardens have identified two men believed to have been involved in a hunting incident in Gorham.

Wardens say the victim, a 55-year-old Casco man, was struck in the face with birdshot Monday morning on the first day of pheasant season.

Wardens said the victim interacted briefly with two men who fled after the shooting. But wardens said Tuesday that the men had been located and were cooperating.

Game wardens are working with the Cumberland county district attorney’s office on this case.
