TOPSHAM, Maine (WMTW) – A Sabbatus man is in the hospital after being shot in the hip in a hunting accident in Topsham, according to authorities.
Joshua Stark, 25, of Sabbatus, was walking in front of his girlfriend and two other people off Cathance Road when his girlfriend slipped and fell on ice, causing her shotgun to go off.
Stark was taken to Maine Medical Center for treatment and is expected to survive.
Maine game wardens continue to investigate the incident.
