Hunter fined for using forbidden equipment

Working in co-operation with the police, the Game Service on Sunday fined a hunter €500 for using forbidden hunting practises.

The hunter was found by game wardens to be using a machine that mimicked the call of birds in the area of Arodes.

Last week two hunters in the area of Kouklia, also in the Paphos district, were fined the same amount for the same forbidden hunting.

Police are continuing investigations.

  1. You really need to wonder. I have always thought it is a holdover from out hunter/gatherer days – that has no real need or place in the modern world.

And here’s some news. Whenever we puzzle over ‘what in the world can possibly be causing the death and beachings of whales?’ – look no further than humans. Maddening:
