Rescue workers in Lyndon Township saved a hunter who spent two hours on a frigid Monday morning dangling upside down in a tree stand, according to a report from Mlive.com.

The hunter was in the Pinckney Recreation Area at about 7 a.m. when, while moving up a tree, he slipped off his stand and got his feet caught in the rigging, Chelsea Area Fire Authority Capt. Scott Basar told Mlive.

Basar said the man had not yet connected his safety harness to the tree, making his feet the only thing stopping him from falling to the ground, Mlive reported.
