Lost hunter found in Wood County

(WAOW) — A lost hunter has been found safe in Wood County.

According to a press release, the hunter became lost around 5:33 Thursday night, in the area of 7070 Hemlock Road in the Town of Seneca.

Authorities were able to track the 47-year-old from Wisconsin Rapids near a snowmobile trail using cell phone GPS and the fire department UTV’s.

That hunter was not hurt and did not seek medical attention.

Vesper Fire Department, Pittsville Fire Department, Wood County Sheriff’s Department, United Ambulance, and Wood County Dispatch were all a part of the search.
