A man who pleaded guilty to illegally killing a wolf in Grand Teton National Park was fined $5,040, park officials announced today.
On Jan. 1, park rangers identified evidence to suggest illegal hunting activity within the park near its eastern boundary, according to a press release Grand Teton released Wednesday.
“Park rangers identified a blood trail and followed it to a location that was later determined to be the site of an illegal wolf kill within the park,” the release said. “Rangers followed up with a thorough investigation and determined that the individuals from Wyoming were involved.”
