Ethan Gupton of Louisburg didn’t find a turkey while hunting Monday morning, but took two shots at winning a big lottery prize at lunch and bagged a $100,000 win.
Gupton said his good luck occurred when he and his best friend took a break for lunch at Edward Best Grocery and Grill on N.C. 56 East. While there, Gupton bought two $20 tickets of his favorite game, $150 Million Cash Explosion.
Gupton said he had no luck on the first ticket but on the second found a prize big enough to get a “Big Check” to mount on his wall.
“I just felt like, Oh my God, is this real,” said Gupton. “I said, ‘Troy, Get in the truck and take me to Raleigh.’”
