Public vigilance, it might be said, is the price of good government, and this is especially true in the realm of wildlife management as practiced by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
Even in the face of evidence that the Connecticut public supports humane, non-lethal resolutions to conflicts with wildlife, the agency continues to cater to those who want to expand the killing of wildlife in our state and render it more cruel at the same time.
