How many more people would live differently if they could feel the pain and grief that I feel for each species that I watch vanish forever?

Today, I grieve for the extinction of species around the world. But I also remain hopeful that we will turn things around. On May 6, 2019 a Global Assessment released by the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) announced that nearly one million species are at risk of extinction.
