Boulder Co., CO (WSET) – It’s always a good idea to lock your car door, especially if there are bears in the neighborhood.
That’s a lesson a Colorado car-owner had to learn the hard way.
The Boulder County Sherriff’s office says on July 4, a “delinquent” bear stumbled upon an unlocked car and managed to open the driver-side door and once inside, the car door closed, trapping the animal.
To make matters a little worse, the bear’s butt apparently shifted the car into neutral and the car rolled down a hill about 100-feet, swiping a tree.
That caused a door to open and the four-legged suspect fled.
