In a freakish hunting accident, former Louisiana State University offensive lineman Matt Branch was shot by a dog.
He died twice before medics stabilized him and woke in a hospital bed at University of Mississippi Medical Center 12 days later with only one leg.
But Branch, of Monroe, Louisiana, is now walking and he tells his story of recovery and plans to hunt again.

If he isn’t going to blame hunting or guns, I hope he didn’t blame the dog. It doesn’t say what happened to him.
A gun is a human created instrument, hunting is a human activity. If he was careless with the gun, not unloading it, putting on the safety, or putting it in a safer area, it isn’t the dog’s fault, it was his.
He was not ‘shot by a dog’. The gun went off in an unfortunate accident because he was careless with it, or in a hurry.
Apparently, the Idiot has not learned a thing: Hunting is a Dangerous Serial Killing Activity. Next time he may not “come back.”
