SAN LUIS VALLEY, Colo. (KKTV) – A New Mexico man is facing several charges and the potential loss of hunting and fishing privileges after allegedly letting his dog kill a fawn.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife says officers found out about the incident after 36-year-old Michael Garcia posted about it — complete with photos — to social media. People who saw the post reported it.
Garcia, of Las Cruces, was working as a fishing guide on the Conejos River in southern Colorado. He and his dog were near the river when the dog spotted the fawn and went after it.
