Of course, when we speak of overpopulation we specifically refer to humans. In fact, human activity is causing massive die-offs of the other species.

DARK KNOWLEDGE
“The heavens were all on fire; the earth did tremble.”
–William Shakespeare
Henry IV, Part 1
For much of my life, I thought our species would soon go extinct. I assumed we might last another hundred years if we were lucky. Now I suspect we are facing extinction in the near future. Can I speculate as to exactly when that might happen? Of course not. My sense of this is based only on probability. It might be similar to hearing about a diagnosis of late stage pancreatic cancer. Is it definite that the person is going to die soon? No, not definite. Is it highly probable? Yes, one would be wise to face the likelihood and put one’s affairs in order.
First, let’s look at climate data. Over the past decade I have been studying climate chaos by…

I live in one of the EEE hot spots, and they’ve been spraying pesticide like mad. Neighbors spray their yards, towns regularly spray the streets, and there have been three state aerial sprayings.
This last one, I have no birds anymore in my yard, not one in days – and a rare few to be heard in the deep woods. They seemed to have survived the last 2 sprayings, but this last one might have been the limit. It might not have been dangerous to the bird, but the bird eats insects.
They even had, to allay public fears about safety, the pesticide applicator or company vouch for its safety!
I predict that as climate change worsens and disease spreads as areas heat up, humans will continue to just hammer the land and water with chemicals even more, and not change their ways.
Maybe humans will go extinct soon.
Well, the dinosaurs had their run once too. I think we have a built-in expiration date that noone wants to acknowledge.
The world will be a better place and can heal. I saw this today too, humans are a total menace:

It’s a wry conundrum that we live in a wetlands area, and they are supposed to be careful about contaminating the public water supplies. They (try to) avoid them, but I imagine there is still runoff and drift.
Hallelujah! I saw a bird or two this morning, and heard another one singing. Hopefully the frost is coming soon to save us. I had taken in my bird feeders with all the spraying.
I love summer, but people ruin it.
As usual.
Who’s serious about climate change? It’s damn the torpedos and full speed ahead for many:
