Committee to Abolish Sport Hunting Blog

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – A state lawmaker says he will introduce legislation that would allow the Pennsylvania Game Commission to deny hunting licenses to people convicted of severe animal abuse.
State Rep. Tony DeLuca (D-Allegheny) said his legislation was prompted by a recent viral video in which two western Pennsylvania hunters appear to kick and torture a wounded white-tailed deer. The game commission continues to investigate the incident.

I certainly hope so. I wonder what is taking so long? In OR in a similar incident, a jerk posted a video of himself riding on the back a trapped and frightened mule deer, and was arrested in a matter of hours, and the deer was not beaten to death. Unfortunate encounters with humanity!
In this PA case, it is not a ‘mistake’, or a ‘mess up’ as one of the perp’s mothers has said. Something is wrong, either parents not knowing what their kids are up to, or psychopathy. I sure hope it is addressed!
Ugh. I try to counteract all of the violence with a story about a firefighter saving a deer on a frozen pond. There was an awful image of two guys in Turkey cutting the ears off a dog who did not win in their dogfighting ring, and holding each ear up for all to see, while the dog looked to be in abject pain and misery. I really do hope that they and those two little ah’s in PA are held accountable.
If beating them is wrong, I don’t wanna be right! 🙂
..be still my heart..
