The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the conviction of a person or people who illegally killed an elk on a wildlife management area last week.

The cow elk was found lying in a food plot on the North Cumberland Wildlife Management Area in Caryville by TWRA Elk Biologist Brad Miller. Miller said the elk was wearing a GPS collar designated “Cow #15” as part of a 3-year elk research study with the University of Tennessee Department of Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries.

  1. It’s really difficult to understand the motivation behind this behavior.

    I am still waiting for a decision on those two little ah’s from PA who beat up a deer. It’s been at least a month. A PA politician is submitting a bill to revoke hunting licenses for animal cruelty (above the norm I guess), as this case is. Let’s hop it’s retroactive.

    I read an absolute joke of an article that had the headline ‘already convicted in the court of public opinion, can they (the two little ah’s) rebuild their lives? Rebuild their lives? The article makes it sound like they’re getting out of prison after ten years, when they haven’t even been given a slap on the wrist by authorities. I had no idea that NY and PA were this bad.
