40,000 years ago, the man knew nothing else: let’s say that our predecessors could also be “excused” because they ate corpses (which they hunted on equal terms) to survive.
Nowadays, with everything we find on the market and the substitute possibilities of meat/fish (and other animal products), there are no more valid excuses.
Even 40,000 years ago humans had unfair advantages in the form of fire, weapons such as spear thowers and the ability to give birth year-round…
