A state senator wants to allow farmers and ranchers to hunt coyotes.

A new bill would allow people to hunt coyotes at night in order to protect crops, livestock and other agricultural products.

Hunters could also use lights if they are on their person while hunting coyotes.

The bill says you would have to get a permit in order to hunt the coyotes.
