MUSCODA TOWNSHIP, Wis.– A dog was caught in a foot trap while on a walk in the State of Wisconsin wildlife property along the Wisconsin river, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials said Lee Perko was walking multiple dogs in the wildlife property when one of his dogs stepped in a foot trap.

The dog bit Perko on both hands while trying to remove it from the trap. Perko was unable to free his dog, according to officials.

First responders and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources responded to assist to Perko and the dog.

Perko was transported to a local hospital and the dog was given medical attention at the Riverdale Vet Clinic.
