As of noon Wednesday, 13 states across the U.S. have reported 100 confirmed nonrepatriated cases of the novel coronavirus, according to the CDC. Of those cases, 30 were travel-related, 17 were person-to-person spread and 53 are still under investigation.
New Jersey and Texas confirmed their first two cases of COVID-19 later on Wednesday that have yet to be confirmed by the CDC, while New York reported five additional cases of the virus.
Arizona
Arizona now has two reported cases of the coronavirus, according to state health officials. A state laboratory is now using in-house testing for the virus to speed potential diagnoses and avoid relying on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
