Washington coronavirus deaths hit 19 among 136 total cases

Grant County is among the latest to report a death from coronavirus Sunday, bringing the state total to 19 deaths, including a death in Snohomish County.

The patient had been receiving treatment at the Grant County Health District for COVID-19 before dying, hospital officials said. Staff are not releasing the person’s gender but say it was a patient in their 80s from the Quincy community.

“I will start this press release by stating our hearts are with the family, friends, and Central Washington Hospital staff,” wrote Theresa Adkinson, health district administrator for the Grant County Health District. “I speak on behalf of our staff, health officer, and board of health, we are so sorry for your loss.”
