The Pennsylvania Game Commission added to state game lands acreage at its recent meeting.

A meme circulating on social media channels falsely claims that the Pennsylvania Game Commission has cancelled all hunting and fishing seasons for 2020.

But the commission noted on its official page, it “has not suspended, altered or changed any hunting regulations, seasons or bag limits in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.”

And, while the fake meme was created with a copy of the commission’s logo and using the commission’s name, the Game Commission has no authority over fishing seasons in Pennsylvania.

The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission is the agency regulating fishing seasons in the state.
