  1. Climate Change is now impacting all of Planet Earth. I would hope that she will seriously consider NOT bringing more babies into the world, as they will face untold climatic events, increased toxic pollution, mega fires, food shortages, violence & more. It will not be a fun, green planet anymore. If she feels a need for a child in her life, adoption would be wonderful.

    • Right, it makes you wonder just how much she understands about Earth’s future, thanks to climate change. It’s a nice, happy fantasy to think we can create more jobs (for even more people) and a “greener” future, but at this point it’s time for humans to start questioning how they’ll survive it as a species…

I feel so very sad for this lovely planet–and all her diverse life, so swiftly going away. Thank you, Jim for what you do, and I so appreciated you putting my letter out on your blog. Thus far, the SF New Mexican has not printed it, but they usually do print what I send them–its probably because of the election.
