WINNESHIEK COUNTY, Iowa (KCRG) – A hunter is dead after he went missing while out with a friend in Winneshiek County.

The Sheriff’s Office says Maya Htoo from Austin, Minnesota died.

They say he another man left from the Canoe Creek Access Area in Pleasant Township on Wednesday northeast of Decorah.

Htoo never came back. Search teams found Htoo in a wooded area of state land the next day.
