While the hunter showed some smarts placing his stand three stories above the ground, he made a huge mistake tethering himself with a so-called safety harness. Just like wearing a mask ensures a person will get COVID-19 or suffocate to death, the heavy safety-harness guarantees that it will pull the hunter out of his chair, breaking legs and leaving him twisting in the wind. He would have saved himself and emergency crews a lot of trouble by following standard practices to avoid supposed “safety” equipment. Think about how many people have drowned because they couldn’t release their seatbelt after driving off a bridge into a river. “Safety” is for suckers and losers! Hunters have rights and need to ignore government mandates and advice!
