The incidents occurred Nov. 21 on public land at Lake Wazee County Park and Nov. 23 on private land east of Milston.

The other elk was a 2½-year-old born in Wisconsin; it was wearing an orange-and-red collar.

This year Wisconsin offeredahunt for just 10bulls, or male elk, and only in the state’s northern herd. Elk in Jackson County and the rest of the state were protected.https://a58dc2ca873d6821dd48f35a8a866299.safeframe.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-37/html/container.html
