Across many parts of Michigan, snowmobilers and ski enthusiasts are starting to get a little antsy. We’re heading into the second week of December – when is it going to snow?

The National Weather Service office in Grand Rapids shared a satellite image showing snow depth across both of our peninsulas this week, and there were only a few pockets of snow on the ground. These were in scattered locations, like the Thumb in the Lower Peninsula, and then far along the northern reaches of the Upper Peninsula in places like the Keweenaw Peninsula and sections between L’anse and Marquette.https://66faaad4096fa8c2b4293ad99bec87d0.safeframe.googlesyndication.com/safeframe/1-0-37/html/container.html

Other than that, lots of bare ground.
