NORTH LIMA — An investigation is underway after a man was shot in the foot in Beaver Township over the weekend, possibly the result of a hunting mishap.
Investigators with Beaver Township police said the victim is a man in his late 20s to early 30s and was the only one injured.
The shooting occurred before noon Sunday on East Calla Road, between Market Street (state Route 7) and Sharrott Road.
Charges likely will be filed in the accidental shooting, local investigators said.
The Ohio Department of Natural Resources said another agency is handling the investigation, but no further information was available.
