Five hunters face criminal and civil penaltiesafterthe Rhode Island Department of Environmental Managementreceived a report of hunters poaching ducks.
The DEM also seized five guns from the huntersand at least a dozenbirds, according to information in aDEM Facebook post.
The investigation started last weekend when the DEM received a complaint of “poachers shooting ducks while their boat was still under power in lower Narragansett Bay,” the DEM said.
On Saturday morning, a DEM officer patroling Jamestown saw “a boat matching the description and the hunters onboard shoot several ducks while under power,” the DEM statesin the Facebook post.

Australian loggers – the poor koalas are already hard hit by the wildfires, and now this. It reminds me of what’s done with palm oil plantations. Evil human bastards all over the world. At least they were charged and fined, but it won’t bring the koalas back:
