The big cat’s remains were brought to a school so kids could get an up-close look at wildlife

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — Ponca Public Schools shared photos of a recent visitor that few would have expected.
The local game warden brought a mountain lion that died after an accidental trapping in Dixon County.
Kids were anything but shy, crowding around a truck to see what had been wandering the area.
This follows a recent uptick in mountain lion sightings and encounters in eastern Nebraska, including right here in Lincoln last December.
Wow they brought a dead tortured mountain lion to school as an example of wildlife instead of using it as an example of why trapping should be outlawed. How F’d up

That it is.
It’s disgusting that parents teach their kiddos that laughing and smiling at the suffering and unwilling butchering of animals is an appropriate response.
I drove school bus in a rural community and saw the parent’s attitudes trickled down first hand.
