The man was rescued on Sept. 18 after being stuck on a “small confined ledge” near Mount Constance, the Naval Air Station Whidbey Island said in a news release. Ground crews with Jefferson County Search and Rescue couldn’t reach the man because of the dangerous conditions, so they contacted the naval air station, rescuers said.
