1 thought on “DNR addresses concerns over wolves

  1. Wolf hysteria (the norm) of the intransigent (stubbornly ignorant) in Wisconsin and the usual wrong-headed ideas of keeping stock safe (they are safe) and worry about all the ungulates being gobbled (fiction). Stock predations by wolves is usually 0.2 % (negligible) and ungulates populations are not gobbled up and usually thrive in the presence. Wolves are a healthy factor in wildlife ecology. Wolves prefer to stay away from man and his stock and to hunt in the wild. Hunters are not good for wildlife ecology and neither are ranchers. Both harbor irrational hate and fear of wolves, and other large predators. Both rancher and hunter exhibit entitlement thinking, power and control, victim-stance, sentimentality positioning in relation to wilderness. They have not changed their entitlement and victim-stance thinking one iota since wolf reintroductions and before. I guess they get their misinformation from intragroup gossip and their own folklore and mythology.
