**UPDATE** Please contact the DNR and express your outrage at this blatant pandering here: http://dnr.wi.gov/contact/

Today, the Wisconsin DNR has been putting out all kinds of press about how their “diverse” group of “stakeholders” on the Wolf Advisory Committee is meeting in Wausau to determine the kill numbers for this years wolf slaughter. Of course when you take a closer look at who is on this “committee” you will see why we have grave concerns about the future of the gray wolf in Wisconsin:

Bill Vander Zouwen, DNR WM Chair
David MacFarland, DNR WM CO
Adrian Wydeven – DNR WM CO
Brad Koele – DNR WM CO
Steve Hoffman – DNR WM NOD
David Halfmann – DNR WM NED
Sara Kehrli – DNR WM SOD
Kris Johansen – DNR WM WCD
Dan Michels – DNR LE
Barry Gilcheck – DNR CSL

  1. Short vid on wolves hunting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfGP4Xbme3o
Hour-long documentary on wolves, really great:

Look how hard wolves work for what they must eat to survive, and how expertly and quickly they kill, only out of necessity and earning their place as predators by being a vital part of nature’s balance. Compare that to people! Rotten shame how people want to wipe wolves and other “inconvenient” wildlife out to benefit “hunters” and cattle ranchers, etc.
Thank you Jim, I sent a message to DNR.

  2. Laura, I saw the documentary and it was beautiful. I think that’s why the hillbilly redneck Jugheads want to kill them because in their sick demented mind they think if they kill the top predator it makes them the top predator, but they will never be because they need to use poisons, dogs, traps and guns, they are not strong enough and intelligent enough to do it one on one . Just like with Obama. Wall Street backed his campaign and put out over nine million dollars he owes his soul to them the government always has to take care of the good old boys or they would be killed and be replaced like John and Bobby Kennedy.

    • Thank you neckpets, and for a laugh as well, your way with words, haha! After watching that hour documentary I’m even more of a wolf lover than before(!)…they are so freaking awesome, and so are the buffalos! The idea of people wiping them out for ANY “reason” is so stupid and so infuriating that it defies description. I will try to find a group protesting Monsanto tomorrow at 2 and will certainly join them if I do; thanks for the heads-up.

  3. The Wisconsin DNR’s “diverse” group of “stakeholders” on the Wolf Advisory Committee sounds similar to the Wolf Working Group appointed by the Washington State Director of Fish and Wildlife. Of Washington’s 17 member Wolf Working Group, 11 members were clearly anti-wolf based upon their backgrounds, occupations, and interests. Washington state’s group, just like Wisconsin’s, included a member of Safari Club International. Most disgusting! Are they all liars or do they really believe the crap they say?

  4. The Obama administration has yanked its plan to strip federal protection from all wolves in the United States outside the southwest the decision is in response to enormous amount of public out cry letters emails and phone calls by 75,000 Center for Biological Diversity supporters against the Department of Interior plan to abandon wolf recovery in California, Northwest, southern Rocky Mountains and in the Northeast the few wolves that are left in this area would be killed without protection the wolf abandament plan was complete and ready for publication when the government lawyers suddenly announced to the judge and one of the centers for the Wolves protection lawsuit do to it unexpected delay it would not be issued but they did not say why the decision was pulled how long it will be delayed or even who made the decision in the next few weeks it’s absolutely critical we need as many voices as possible to convince the new Secretary of Interior Sally Jewell to do the right thing and permanently dump The wolf killing plan her predecessor Ken Salaar and to insist to expand the protection of the wolves .
