Those who watched Late Night with Conan O’Brien (that goofy red-haired guy who was going to take over the Tonight Show when Jay Leno moved to the 10:30 time-slot and then found out he wasn’t making enough money there and stole the show back from Conan—who is much funnier and who would have put him to shame in the ratings) remember a bit he did called “If They Mated.” Using the latest computer technology formerly known only to NASA to explore worlds beyond our galaxy, they were able to show us what certain celebrities’ (who’ve been rumored to be going out together) babies would look like…if they mated.

I used to admire and idolize Ted Nugent until I read his book, TED, WHITE, AND BLUE. Then I became I disgusted with Ted as a big hypocrite. I will explain.
Ted pooped in his pants and did not bathe for long time, as a prank to successfully dodge the Vietnam War draft.
On the other hand, I have an older cousin who joined a local national guard unit as a legitimate means to avoid being sent to Vietnam. An honorable thing to have done at that time.
I turned 18 in 1974. Had I born just a few years earlier, and grew up with Davy Crockett and the Mickey Mouse Club, there is an excellent chance I would have been drafted and forced to fight in the Vietnam War. A war that I was morally opposed to in my youth.
A lot of young men during the Vietnam War, did all kinds of crazy tricks to dodge the Vietnam War draft. We all do stupid things when we are young. If Ted was honest about his Vietnam War draft dodging prank, and had the honor and decency to openly oppose bringing back the draft today, I would have gladly forgiven him. Unfortunately, in TED, WHITE, AND, BLUE, Ted reveals himself to be a big hypocrite by advocating that military conscription be reinstated, as a mandatory two-year draft for everyone upon graduation from high school.
As a patriotic American, I am opposed to bringing back the military draft,or any other form of compulsory service. Because conscription is a violation of the 13th Amendment of the Constitution which prohibits involuntary servitude, except as punishment for a crime. having slaves fight for our freedoms? I don’t think so!
Even though I am Jewish, military conscription is why I still cannot condemn all WW2 German soldiers for the Nazi Holocaust, or even for the many atrocities the WW2 German Army itself committed. Not all German soldiers were Hitler’s willing executioners or Nazis. The WW2 Wehrmact also had a great many soldiers that were innocent draftees, who were conscripted and forced to serve.
So to Ted and all other draft dodgers and those who fled to Canada during the Vietnam War, please don’t advocate bringing back the draft today! If you dodged the draft during the Vietnam War, or fled to Canada, and then advocate reinstating the draft today, you are an insult to our American soldiers who went Vietnam, regardless of whether they volunteered or were drafted!
I know this is an anti-hunting website. However, Ted is unethical about how he kills animals even by hunter’s standards. In Alaska, Ted wounded a bear and did not track it down, to put that poor bear out of it’s misery like he was supposed to do Instead, in violation of Alaska state law, Ted shot and killed another bear. Ted has also has committed many other game law violations, but then he claims to be a responsible hunter and a conservationist.
I often enjoyed seeing Paul Mccartney, The Rolling Stones, Kenny Chesney, Neil Young,The Who, Jimmy Buffet, and other famous musicians in concert. I may disagree with their opinions, but I will still enjoy their music.
However, what I have written about Ted, speaks for itself as to why I will never buy any tickets for a Ted Nugent concert!
