I did see a brown squirrel at the feeder one time, and dusted off my camera , and waited patiently every day, but I never saw it again we usually only have grey squirrels. I have a female that comes to our sliding glass door and knocks on the door for her peanut, nose up against the glass looking for me,this summer she’s been bringing her young with her, teaching them how to beg, I feel like it’s Trick or Treat night.
By the time these squirrels brought their young they were half grown. It was hard to tell them from their parents, except for their size… and behavior.
Wow! I never knew this. I love watching the squirrels dive in and out of my composter — it’s hysterical. I threw a loaf old vegan bread in there and I watched them go in an out with chunks of it. Hysterical. Gotta love squirrels.
Beautiful pics.
Thanks Maureen.
