I think we should reduce/give up both. This article gives a scary description of SUVs all lined up at the drive-thru for cheeseburgers. This is what our world has become, with no thought to other living creatures’ pain and suffering, just stuffing our faces, and not even expending the extra physical energy to get out of the car. *shudder*
