2. Wisconsin Barbarians
   Trapping and shooting animals is inherently cruel and barbaric. Trapped animals and wounded (shot) animals feel the same as us, terrified and tortured. In the case of wolves, animals equal to if not superior to us in social connectedness, it is horrendous . Wolves have been known to stand by mates or pack members jeopardizing and even losing their own lives; known to return to the place of a fallen loved one over and over; and packs are known to disintegrate after the loss of an alpha male or female. It is human arrogance and self-centeredness to think that we have a monopoly on emotional and physical pain and intelligence and consciousness (sentient existence) as trappers and hunters evidently do, but not just trappers. I have talked to religious people who are offended at the idea of sentient wolves or other animals. Wolves, for example, also plan, have foresight, and execute plans. They play, use teamwork, nurture for and protect each other and their young. Hunters and trappers treat wolves and other targets as objects, as renewable recreational and profitable opportunities. Who is the superior animal? I have my opinion which you can probably guess.

3. The only control needed in Wisconson is that of the hunters themselves. As so eloquently put forth in the above commentaries, we do in fact share similar characteristics with wolves in general. The primary difference is that the wolf hunts to survive, as opposed to humans hunting and killing for pleasure. Beyond that, the transparency of the hunter praising himself for killing a worthy opponent, when in fact; it amounts to nothing more than murdering a defenseless being who loves, feels the relentless pain of a piercing firearm, and dies in agony knowing the loss of loved ones. It is disgusting to even think that rational people are allowing this to continue.
