  1. I’m working on getting materials together to show my township why killing our neighborhood deers using bows&arrows is an inhumane crime. I need to get people to attend with me. The Humane Society sent me excellent material on how to deal humanely with deer and avoid collisions, etc., and they would present it. But as we all know the HSUS is pushing PZP (which has horrific side affects) and outright sterilization. When a town is encouraging developers to build on areas that were private forests and a large cornfield, of course we will be seeing more deer if they are not killed by the Forest Dis-Service first. How can the deer population be lowered without PZP and inhumane sterilization.

  2. I am horrified with the latest “trend” of sterilization. Anthony Denicola, pres of the wildlife extermination company, White Buffalo is the main player in this latest deer cruelty effort. Deer have died in the trapping phase alone. The real answer to all of this is leave them the hell alone! Studies show that in non-hunted areas there are far less deer. This is merely another follow the money scheme for the DNR’s DEC’s, Fish and Game agencies. They are desperate to keep their dying sport (hunting) alive so they came up with a very clever marketing strategy. First, deer refuge seek. They are not stupid. They wind up in our neighborhoods. Then they start rebounding since their fertility is dependent on how healthy they are and of course our neighborhoods provide lots of great food for them. Then the DNR’s go into their let’s cause public hysteria mode and demonize the deer. They have turned Bambi into Godzilla. They go to local council meetings and spin their lies and propaganda and say the only thing you can do is hunt/kill. The answer, btw, to how many deer should be there is the number that are there! The environment can only support the number that are there. If there is not enough food or cover the weak and sick will die off. Nature is far smarter than any human. We are so arrogant. How dare we think that we can beat nature into submission. All things seek balance. There will be repercussions for all that we have done, for all that we have destroyed. I have been fighting the deer wars since 1998. It is growing worse every year and has spread across this country like a putrid disease.
